Obituary: Bette Gale Golberg Charney, age 66, of Plymouth, passed away
unexpectedly on August 22, 2011 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death
by her parents, Marvin and Ida Golberg and her brother, Col. Lawrence H.
Golberg. Survived by special friend, Larry Goss; ex-husband, Glenn Charney;
children Allan and Allison Charney and Lori Charney and Robin Schribman;
brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Ralph and Jeannie Golberg; and sister-in-law
Margaret Golberg; beloved grandchildren, Mason, Drew and Eli. Also survived
by nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and best pal Jesse – her
four-legged shadow. Bette worked as a nurse for most of her career and was an
avid nature and animal lover. She was a “what you see is, is what you get”
type of woman who told you like it was. Her love and generosity will be
greatly missed by all the lives she touched. We'll miss you mom and we'll
take care of the “outfit”. Funeral service WEDNESDAY, 9:30 AM, BETH EL
SYNAGOGUE, 5224 W. 26th Street, St. Louis Park. Interment at Shaari Tzedek
Cemetery, Hermantown/Duluth, MN, Wednesday 3 pm. Memorials preferred to
Jewish Family and Children's service of Minneapolis – Mental Health Support
